My Professional Experiences

I earned my Professional Mechanical Engineer's Licence on June 17, 1991. My PRC Registration No. is 002933.

 

From 1985 to 1995, I was the Engineering Manager of RSC Engineering, a company that designs and locally fabricates specialty equipment for engineering education use. I solely designed all the equipment based on the parameters given by the Technical Panel for Engineering Education of then Ministry of Education. I also designed the tooling and fabrication processes of newly developed products.

 

I joined Integrated Microelectronics in 1995 as the Plant Engineering Department Manager of the Severina Plant in Paranaque. My responsibilities were to manage the efficient operation of all systems supporting manufacturing and administration, evaluate and improve the existing systems, and to manage engineering projects of the plant. In 1997 I was tasked to head the Planning Department of the Plant Engineering Division. My job in this outfit was to manage all engineering projects of the company from conceptualization to commissioning. The job covers the design of systems, vetting of contractors, implementation, tests, and turnover. In 2003, I was back to operations when I was promoted to Senior Plant Engineering Manager. My job was to manage the efficient operation of all systems supporting manufacturing and administration of the LTI Plant. LTI Plant has 11 buildings in its compound and each building has its own support systems.

 

I was hired as Engineering Manager of a food texturizing company of Cargill in 2006. The company is Philippine Bio-industries Inc. It produces carageenan from seaweeds. My responsibilities here were to manage the efficient operation of the steam plant, the biological wastewater treatment plant, the manufacturing systems, and all utility systems of the plant. System improvements and retrofits (steam, hydraulic, pneumatics, etc.) were done in-house, from design, fabrication, to installation.

 

Before I decided to practice my profession privately as an individual professional, I was the Mechanical Design Manager of Comfac Group of Companies from 2014 to 2020. The group of companies is a fit-out venture under the Construction Industry. My team was responsible for the design of mechanical systems, HVAC, and fire protection system. I review and approve the design concepts of each design engineers before they proceed to design calculations. I checked all design calculations and validate sizing (of equipment, pipes, conduits, etc.) done by the designers before finalizing all plans and documents to be forwarded to the clients.
